Mr. Mountz (Advanced Manufacturing Teacher at SRVRTC), his students in advanced manufacturing and engineering will be machining parts for the International Space Station this Fall.
Through a partnership with NASA HUNCH, that collaborates with Advanced Manufacturing CTE programs throughout the US, students will be asked to machine specially designed parts for Space Missions. The program offers all the blueprints and specs and raw material, at no cost, to make it happen!
The reality is that a student milled project from our Machine Shop could be used in the future Space missions. We think this project is out of this world!
